At the young age of 17, Kaamya Karthikeyan has achieved what most people can only dream of. On December 24, 2024, she climbed Vinson Massif in Antarctica with her father, Commander S. Karthikeyan, completing the Seven Summits Challenge. This makes her the youngest female in the world to conquer the tallest peaks on all seven continents.

Who is Kaamya Karthikeyan?
Kaamya Karthikeyan is a student at Navy Children’s School in Mumbai. She began her incredible journey at just seven years old when she climbed a peak in Uttarakhand. By the age of 16, she scaled Mount Everest from the Nepal side, becoming the youngest Indian and the world’s second-youngest climber to achieve this feat. Isn’t that amazing?
Her journey has inspired many, and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned her in his “Mann Ki Baat” program. In 2021, she was awarded the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar for her exceptional achievements.
