The Concept of ‘Constitution Temples’
The ‘Constitution Temples’ or Samvidhan Mandirs are designed to educate students at ITIs about the significance of the Constitution of India. These centres aim to spread the ideas of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, and to instill a sense of respect for constitutional values among the youth.
What Are ITIs?
Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) are vocational training centres established by the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET) under the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship. They provide technical education and practical skills to students who have completed the 10th grade and prefer vocational training over traditional higher education. ITIs play a crucial role in equipping students with industry-specific skills, which enhances their employability.
