Eligibility Criteria for SSC GD Constable Exam 2025

To apply for the SSC GD Constable Exam 2025, candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements set by the Staff Selection Commission. Below are the details:

Educational Qualification:

1. Candidates must have passed 10th grade (Matriculation) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
2. Those who are awaiting their results or have not yet completed the 10th standard are not eligible to apply.
3. The qualification must be attained on or before the closing date of the application, i.e., 10 October 2024.

Age Limit:

• The minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 23 years, calculated as of January 1, 2025.
• Age Relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age.
  • Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat: Up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Nationality

• Candidates must be citizens of India.
• Candidates from Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to apply, provided they have valid certificates issued by the Government of India.

Physical Standards:

• Height:
  • Male: 170 cm (relaxable for certain categories as per the official guidelines).
  • Female: 157 cm (relaxable for certain categories as per the official guidelines).
• Chest (for male candidates):
  • Unexpanded: 80 cm
  • Expanded: Minimum 5 cm expansion
  • Relaxation in chest measurements is applicable for candidates from certain states and categories.
• Weight:
  • Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Medical Standards:

• Candidates must be medically fit and meet all the criteria as prescribed by the recruitment board.
• They should not have any physical or visual disabilities that might hinder their performance.
